Speech Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Speech Therapist to join our team. But more importantly, we are seeking a team member who enjoys working collaboratively, and who loves to learn from and support others.

Join an experienced team that thrives on collaboration and holistic approaches to therapy and empowerment.

We are seeking a Speech Therapist who values family and relational approaches, who is willing to advocate for inclusive learning and strengthen self-advocacy skills.

At OKAY Therapy we use trauma-informed and neuroaffirming theories of practice to meet the child and family where they are and to develop the awareness of those supporting the person. We strive to support the development of positive self-identity and well-being and recognise the importance of communication in this space.

Our team has developed innovative approaches to therapy that aims to address the increasing demand on allied health services. We use these innovative/creative therapeutic methods to address the service gap in our community. OKAY team members are supported to explore their interest and consider creative ways of including their passion in their practice and expand on their career pathways.

We value working closely with education systems to upskill, create awareness, and inform inclusive learning environments. We have developed the Positive Education Partnerships program for local schools and education settings that is specifically targeted at building educators knowledge of inclusive learning approaches and environments.

While we do all of those things we are also parents, carers, family members, and community contributors. Family and well-being is the cornerstone of OKAY and our business model is centred around flexibility. This means no KPI’s!

At OKAY Therapy you will:

  • Be well supported with our robust support structure offering both internal and external individual and peer supervision. You will also be part of a team that values informal debriefing and clinical discussions in a space that is open-minded and approachable.

  • Determine your own caseload criteria to allow you to specialise in your interest area and deliver best practice.

  • Be supported within a multidisciplinary team with strong connections to key external providers and agencies.

  • Work within an organisation where your career goals are valued and celebrated.

  • Deliver 1:1 and group therapy in a range of environments including home, school, kindergarten, community and our clinic spaces.

  • Have scope and assistance to create and lead innovative programs (and be paid accordingly).

  • Have access to all assessments and resources needed.
