Katie Ashbolt

Speech Pathologist

Katie chose to study Speech Pathology after volunteering in the disability sector in her gap year and discovering her passion for communication and the disability sector. Katie worked as a disability support worker throughout her studies, and went on to receive her Bachelor of Applied Science and Masters of Speech Pathology from La Trobe University. 

Since this time, Katie has worked in a variety of different multidisciplinary teams, including a position with an emphasis on nature-based and animal assisted therapy. Katie has a passion for focusing on strengths-based goals and functional communication for each client and their family.

Katie comes with a wealth of knowledge that will support the OKAY Therapy team as we continue shift to a more innovative therapeutic model. Katie is interested in all things speech although particularly interested in speech sounds, AAC, literacy and pre-school stuttering.
